Tony Bennett, the famous singer who ‘left his heart in San Francisco,’ made some inflammatory remarks about September 11 and former President George W. Bush on Howard Stern’s radio program on Monday night.

Appearing on the Sirius Radio show, the 85-year-old crooner said that “we caused” the terrorists attacks on 9-11 and that Bush admitted to him that launching the war in Iraq was wrong.

After Stern asked the singer how the U.S. should deal with terrorists, Bennett replied: “They flew the plane in, but we caused it. Because we were bombing them and they told us to stop.”
