Foster parents in Georgia filmed the touching moment they revealed to their new daughter that they’d adopted her.

“I’m going to be adopted!” the girl exclaimed reading a plaque she took out of a gift box, before breaking down in tears.

In a Facebook post shared last week, Paige Zezulka wrote that the adoption had been confirmed on 10-year-old Ivey’s birthday, and let her know her biological brother and sister would be coming along as well.

“She had been praying to be adopted and we found out on her birthday that it was going to happen! So the next day we gave her this surprise box! God’s timing was perfect!” Paige wrote on Facebook.

“Our kids spent 1,128 days in foster care, over 3 years. It is so hard on children to live in such uncertainty.”

In a statement to ABC11.com, Zezulka said the adoption process had taken up to two years.

“The children were originally supposed to be reunited with their biological parents, a move the Zezulkas supported, but it was eventually determined that reunification “just wasn’t (what) was best, (it) was not legally going to happen,” reported ABC 11 on Thursday.

As of writing, the video has received over 12 million views and Zezulka’s post has been shared over 188K times.
