The Obama administration and Walgreens on Friday announced a partnership to provide free flu shot vouchers to 350,000 uninsured Americans and others with inadequate health benefits.

Given that an estimated 45 million Americans lack health coverage, the effort is a small but important step in trying to reach people who might not otherwise consider getting a shot or be able to afford one. Walgreens normally charges $29.99 for flu shots.
