Amid tumbling poll numbers and a dire situation for her presidential campaign, Hillary Clinton emerged from hiding Monday evening and appeared to be in total denial of the reality she is now facing.
Hillary told supporters in Ohio that there is “no case here” while raising the issue of the new FBI investigation into her careless use of a private email server while heading up the State Department.
“I’m sure a lot of you may be asking what this new email story is about and why in the world the FBI would decide to jump into an election with no evidence of any wrongdoing with just days to go.” Hillary told the crowd.
“They apparently want to look at emails of one of my staffers, and by all means, they should look at them, and I am sure they will reach the same conclusion they did when they looked at my emails for the last year,” Clinton said, adding “There is no case here.”
Critics will surely ask the question if Hillary truly believes there is no case, why has the aide, Huma Abedin not been seen with Hillary’s entourage since the news broke? Why is the aide in question in hiding?
While floating more conspiracy theories regarding Donald Trump and those pesky Russians, Hillary also exclaimed to supporters “In these last days, let’s not get distracted from the real choice in this election and the consequences for your future.”
“I think most people have decided a long time ago what they think about all of this.” Hillary stated.
No. If the polls are anything to go by, they certainly havn’t.
For the first time since May, Trump now leads Clinton by one point, according to the ABC News/Washington Post tracking poll.
The same poll found that Hillary held a 12-point lead just over one week ago.
That means there has been an unprecedented shift of 13 points in one week.

Furthermore, RealClearPolitics average of surveys indicates that Trump now has a 2 point lead over Clinton.
The tide has shifted. This is no ‘distraction’, and Hillary knows it.
