A European delegation has launched an inspection in Kazan Valley in Turkey’s southeastern province of Hakkari to review claims that Turkey had used chemical weapons against Kurdish militants, Press TV reports.

Turkey’s Milliyet newspaper reported on Monday that the seven-member group from Belgium, France and Germany has studied the region where 37 Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) militants were killed in operations launched by Turkey last month, Press TV’s Ankara correspondent reported.

Parliamentarians from the Peace and Democracy Party, and the Turkish Human Rights Association accused the military of using chemical weapons against the militants after their bodies were found.

Former member of the European Parliament, Feleknas Uca, and German parliamentarian, Jan Van Aken, are among members of the delegation, the report said.
