Supporters of US President-elect Trump have a more positive attitude toward Russia than they did four months ago, a new Economist/YouGov poll showed.

The new poll also found that although Americans generally dislike Russian President Vladimir Putin, on-third of Trump voters consider him a strong leader.

“Trump voters today are somewhat more positive towards Russia than his supporters were just after the party conventions last summer,” a summary accompanying the poll issued Wednesday stated. “Today, the percentage of Trump supporters viewing Russia as either unfriendly or as an enemy has dropped 11 points, from 67% then to 56% now.”
