Donald Trump has no formal plans to pursue charges against his former opponent Hillary Clinton, the president elect’s spokeswoman Kellyanne Conway stated Tuesday.

In an interview with MSNBC’s Morning Joe, Conway relayed the Trump team had more important things to focus on as he prepares to take on the most important job in the world.

“I think when the president-elect who’s also the head of your party … tells you before he’s even inaugurated he doesn’t wish to pursue these charges, it sends a very strong message, tone and content, to the members,” Conway stated.

Instead, Conway said, it would be more productive for the Trump team to help Hillary “heal,” as she is viewed as untrustworthy by many Americans:

“I think Hillary Clinton still has to face the fact that a majority of Americans don’t find her to be honest or trustworthy, but if Donald Trump can help her heal, then perhaps that’s a good thing.”

Conway further added the president-elect is looking forward to hammering out the details of his future presidential administration, which do not include Hillary Clinton.

“Look, I think, he’s thinking of many different things as he prepares to become the president of the United States, and things that sound like the campaign aren’t among them,” Conway.

Trump rocked the second US presidential debate in October when he claimed he would assign a special prosecutor to investigate Hillary Clinton’s email scandal after the FBI had decided not to recommend charges.
