The organizers of the Stop Watching Us coalition, which includes over 100 public advocacy groups, are going to present a petition to Congress which has over 570,000 signatures.
“It is very important that people speak out, take action, march, rally demonstrate against these practices of the government,” anti-war activist Richard Becker said to RT. “What can really bring a change is the actions of the people.”
He stated that “none of the progressive changes” in the history of the U.S. have ever “originated inside the Congress or in the White House.”
