The Austin chapter of Come and Take It Texas is holding an open carry march at South by Southwest (SXSW) in Austin, Texas today at high noon in support of the Second Amendment as well as the First.
The group will meet at the parking garage at 1201 San Jacinto Blvd. on the corner of 12th Street and San Jacinto prior to noon and will then peacefully march to Congress Ave. and down to Sixth Street.
This peaceful march will also be covered live on the Alex Jones Show, including interviews with those present.
Additionally, the event organizers want to emphasize that the marchers will be carrying firearms that DO NOT have ammunition loaded in the chamber and that rifles will be carried as close to 6 o’clock to 12 o’clock as possible (vertical in relation to the ground.)
There will also be a meeting to discuss safety prior to the march.
If you plan on attending the event, please arrive early (at least one hour or so) due to the heavy traffic and road closures for SXSW.
