Hip-hop artist Ken Ring says he fears “open war” on the streets of Stockholm within 20 years and says he is thinking about moving to Africa because it is safer than some parts of Sweden.
In an interview with Norwegian broadcaster NRK, Ring, whose brother was murdered, pointed to the area in which he grew up, the Stockholm suburb of Hässelby, which was calm and safe then but is now the site of “open gang war,” violent crime and drug trafficking.
Ring specifically pinpointed the surge of Muslim migrants as being responsible for the problem, an issue he first raised back in 2009.
“We have as much immigrants as possible and how many people in the suburb, and it’s just getting more and more and more. And this will crack,” said the musician.
Ring also revealed that he is considering moving to Africa, relating how his son asked him, “Dad, why is it more dangerous in Hässelby than in Nairobi, Kenya?”
The rapper’s view of what Sweden will look like in the future is as grim as it gets.
“I think it’s too late that it’s not possible to change,” said Ring. “Within 20 years we have open war on the streets of Stockholm.”
As we previously reported, while Sweden’s violent crime and rape rates surge, authorities are arresting and interrogating citizens who post offensive memes on Facebook.
Swedish police officer Peter Springare is under investigation for merely observing that “foreign-born offenders” are largely responsible for the country’s gang rape problem.
The number of gang-related shootings has surged 43% over the last three years in Sweden, while official crime statistics show that reported rapes have increased 34% in the last 10 years. A recent poll also found that half of young women in the country felt insecure walking the streets.
A private study of 4,142 rulings regarding sex-related crimes passed by 40 Swedish courts between 2012 and 2014 found that 95.6% of rapes were committed by men of foreign descent.
The figures back up Springare’s assertion that crimes he processed, which include rape, assault, violence against police, drug trafficking and murder, were almost exclusively committed by someone named “Mohammed” or a variation of that name and the culprits were invariably from Iraq, Turkey, Afghanistan, Somalia, or Syria.
Low level urban terrorism and grenade attacks are also now commonplace in Sweden’s migrant areas.
