Appearing on CNN, Senator Rand Paul continued his feud with fellow GOP campaigner Donald Trump, stating that the billionaire “would be a disaster for the country and a disaster for our party.”
“I don’t think you want a nominee [who] offends whole areas of the public, whole ethnic groups,” Paul said, referring to Trump’s comments about most immigrants from Mexico being rapists and criminals as “painting with a broad brush” and “crazy talk”.
“I think most people who immigrated to this country are assets to our community and came here seeking the American dream, the same way my ancestors did,” Paul said.
Trump hit back at Paul by suggesting that he should be cut from upcoming GOP debates, because there are too many candidates.
“I don’t like the fact that there are 11 people now, as I understand it; they’re not getting rid of Rand Paul or somebody, and they should because there’s too many people,” Trump told reporters.
“When you have 11, you’re not going to hear me and you’re not going to hear other people talking, and I think that’s too bad,” Trump said.
Paul fired back on Twitter, noting that he was the only candidate to call out Trump during the debate for not ruling out a third party run.

Trump signed a GOP loyalty pledge to much fanfare Thursday.
“I will be totally pledging my allegiance to the Republican Party and the conservative principles to which it stands,” Trump said. “We will go out and we will fight hard and we will win, and most importantly we will make our country great again, because that’s what it’s all about.”
