Quantcast has blacklisted Infowars from its top trafficked websites as the establishment’s attempt to silence opposing voices by declaring conservative outlets “fake news” accelerates.

After routinely appearing in the list of top 200 websites in the world, at one stage being ranked the 168th biggest website on the planet, Infowars has now been de-listed and “hidden” alongside porn websites, fake news websites and other legally questionable content.

The screen shots below show how Infowars appeared on Quantcast.com before it was completely purged.

After the purge, the Quantcast page merely says “hidden profile”. In other words, Quantcast is now treating Infowars.com – which many media outlets have credited with having a major impact on helping the President elect of the United States beat Hillary Clinton – as being an illegitimate or fake news website.

Quantcast’s decision to blacklist Infowars coincides with a huge new establishment media narrative that is attempting to have Google, Facebook and others drown out conservative voices by denouncing any unauthorized views as “fake news”.

This is particularly ironic, given that the mainstream media itself has earned the title of “fake news” throughout the entire election cycle, posting stories such as these;

In addition, when fake news websites knowingly post fake news, the worst case scenario is that someone makes a few hundred ill-gotten advertising dollars.

In the case of the mainstream media, their reporting of fake news, such as the claim that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction, led to the deaths of nearly a million people.

There are fake news websites that deliberately publish hoaxes. They are relatively easy to spot and many of them even admit they are fake news. However, the establishment media is exploiting the problem in a desperate effort to re-assert its own ruined credibility and imply that massive conservative websites like Infowars and Breitbart are “fake news”.

The “fake news” blacklist (which includes Infowars and Breitbart) currently being circulated by the likes of the L.A. Times was created by Melissa Zimdars, an Assistant Professor in comm/media studies at Merrimack College.

Zimdars is a self-described “activist” and “feminist” who is involved with radical leftist movements like Black Lives Matter and Occupy Wall Street (imagine my shock).

So the media is circulating a list of “fake news websites” created by an incredibly biased left-wing social justice warrior which just happens to be full of mostly conservative websites. How in any way is this impartial or reliable?

Other media outlets are also promoting an extension for the chrome browser which is based on Zimdars’s list. The plugin creates a pop-up alert that warns readers, “The articles on this website are likely fake, false or misleading!”

Sure enough, when we installed the browser extension, Infowars.com was flagged as one of those “fake, false or misleading” websites.

It’s incredibly rich to see the very same mainstream media that has completely eviscerated its own credibility, creating record levels of distrust amongst the public, by publishing fake and misleading news, then lecturing everyone else on what constitutes fake news.

The main purveyors of fake news are literally trying to silence their competition by telling everyone that legitimate conservative news sources are fake news.

The media still seems to be living under the delusion that they have any shred of credibility. They don’t. Why on earth would anyone choose to listen to or trust the kings of fake news to tell them what is fake news and what isn’t?
