New York socialist candidate Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is already mulling over her presidential ambitions, despite not even being elected to Congress yet.

“After being spurned over and over and over again, short-changed on healthcare, short-changed on criminal justice, short-changed on education, there’s a lot of folks who don’t want to believe anymore,” she said at a Boston University event on Monday.

“And that’s why what we have accomplished is such an immense responsibility. It is a responsibility not just to deliver, because it doesn’t mean you get everything tomorrow,” the congressional candidate continued.

“As much as I would love that. I would love to be inaugurated January 3rd,” she added.

As if she wasn’t clear about being elected president, she went on to talk about signing bills into law, which only the president has the power to do.

“January 4th we’re signing healthcare, we’re signing this,” she said, scribbling a signature in the air.

To clarify, presidents are inaugurated on January 20th, also known as Inauguration Day. However, a new session of Congress does begin on January 3rd.

Interestingly, the socialist candidate was included in a list of Democrats endorsed by former President Barack Obama on Monday, after initially being snubbed by him over the summer.

However, many in the Democrat Party have voiced their opposition to Ocasio-Cortez due to her untenable far-left platform such as abolishing ICE and “Medicare for All.”
