New Wikileaks emails released as part of the John Podesta hack reveal yet more collusion between the Clinton campaign and the New York Times, with one journalist in particular relied upon to “tee up” stories for Team Hillary.

An email sent by Hillary’s Traveling Press Secretary Nick Merrill outlines how Maggie Haberman, a writer for Politico and the New York Times, helps “tee up” stories that are beneficial to Hillary Clinton.

“We have has a very good relationship with Maggie Haberman of Politico over the last year. We have had her tee up stories for us before and have never been disappointed. While we should have a larger conversation in the near future about a broader strategy for reengaging the beat press that covers HRC, for this we think we can achieve our objective and do the most shaping by going to Maggie,” states the email.

Another email sent by Merrill describes how Haberman and the New York Times tipped him off ahead of time that a story about Hillary meeting Elizabeth Warren was about to be written and published.

“The NYT (Jonathan Martin and Maggie Haberman) reached out this morning to tell us that they are aware of a meeting HRC had with Senator Warren at her house back in December. They plan to write imminently, so wanted everyone to be aware that this could pop soon,” states the email.

I asked Maggie Haberman for a comment on the revelation that she helped “tee up” stories for Hillary.

She responded within 20 minutes by blocking me on Twitter.

The Podesta hack has revealed deep collusion between innumerable media outlets, reporters and the Clinton campaign, including Donna Brazile, then working for CNN, feeding Hillary a question one day in advance of a town hall debate.

In one email, New York Times Magazine chief national correspondent Mark Leibovich is described as “sympathetic” by the Clinton campaign. After his interview with Hillary, Leibovich told Hillary’s communications director Jennifer Palmieri that she “could veto what you didn’t want” in the interview.
