A medical expert and active neurosurgeon has said there are still huge unanswered questions regarding Hillary Clinton’s health.

Speaking with CNN, resident doctor Sanjay Gupta warned that pneumonia is a serious condition in people over the age of 65, and that the Clinton campaign needs to be more forthcoming about her medical condition.

“Some people need to be hospitalized, and they take weeks and weeks to recover,” Gupta told host Wolf Blitzer. “Some people have more of the colloquial walking pneumonia and don’t take that long. Maybe that’s what she has, but we just don’t know.”

Following revelations leaked yesterday by Clinton’s own campaign that other staffers have been affected by the illness, Gupta noted that if Hillary had not been on antibiotics soon enough, then it is likely that Clinton “was contagious” and “may have gotten it from somebody in the office or given it to somebody in the office.”

Blitzer then compared the situation to the speculation over the health of 2008 GOP nominee John McCain, noting that McCain’s campaign released an “enormous” amount of medical records in order to subdue the questions.

Gupta agreed with Blitzer, noting “in 2008, Senator McCain was much more forthcoming at that point.”

“I’m sure it was because of some of the pressure about releasing medical records.” Gupta added.

Gupta joins a growing list of doctors and medical experts who have all questioned Hillary Clinton’s health, including Dr. David Scheiner, who was President Obama’s personal physician, Rutgers University Professor of Medicine Bob Lahita and board-certified medicine specialist Dr. Drew Pinsky.

However, the media almost completely ignored these prominent voices, until Monday, instead continually insisting that anyone who talks about the issue is a “conspiracy theorist”.
