The Marvel superhero movies will âvery soonâ be indoctrinating young audiences with a transgender character.
At a recent New York Film Academy Q&A, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige said the Disney-owned company plans to virtue signal by introducing a trans character.
From the BBC:
Asked by a fan whether there were any plans for more LGBT characters in Marvelâs films, âspecifically the T, trans charactersâ, Kevin said: âYes, absolutely. Yes.â
While Feige did not identify the project, speculation is rife it could be a character to be featured in the upcoming Thor sequel, Love and Thunder, due out in November.
The Eternals cast, from Sand Diego Comic Con July 20, 2019.
Another upcoming project, The Eternals â also set for a November release date, features a gay superhero.
âHeâs married, heâs got a family, and that is just part of who he is,â Feige said, describing the gay character from the Eternals movie.
Feige also revealed Marvel will strive to be more âdiverseâ and âinclusiveâ by hiring female directors, especially for shows that will soon be available on the Disney + streaming platform.
From CNN:
âWe have three other shows weâve announced, we havenât announced the players yet, but spoiler alert â two out of three of them are women,â Feige said.
âIt makes for better stories. I say, when you are sitting at a table and everyone looks like you, youâre in trouble. You arenât going to get the best story out of that.â
The companyâs new moves will no doubt turn off many fans of the comic book franchise who tire of classic institutions being torn down to conform to the new PC culture.
