[efoods]TOPEKA, Kansas – The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) and the Shawnee County Health Agency will host an H1N1 flu vaccination event featuring several state legislators at 10 a.m. on Thursday, January 14 in Room 142 S. of the State Capitol Building in Topeka. A clinic for legislators and their staff will follow at 10:30 a.m.
Dr. Jason Eberhart-Phillips, Kansas State Health Officer, Shawnee County Health Agency Director Anne G. Freeze and some legislators will provide remarks, followed by a question and answer period.
National Influenza Vaccination Week takes place January 10-16. The event was established to highlight the importance of influenza vaccination, especially after the holiday season. KDHE will be distributing daily news releases statewide Monday through Friday during the week.
