CNN has a habit of accusing Republicans of avoiding interviews when in reality it covers up and buries them, or simply pretends to ask tough questions for clicks.
CNN host Chris Cuomo called out Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) on Thursday, claiming he was “afraid” to face questions about gun violence following the Florida high school shooting that left 17 dead.
“What are Republicans afraid of?” he asked.
“You have to take these issues on. You gotta ask the tough questions, you must be held accountable,” Cuomo said.
But Cruz schooled Cuomo and the Fake News Network the next day, posting a photo of him giving CNN the interview in question, which they for some reason decided not only not to air, but deny even existed.
That's funny, I spoke to CNN for 15 mins yesterday about proactive solutions to prevent gun violence (like passing the Grassley-Cruz bill—which Dems filibustered—that would add $300 million for school safety) yet CNN has aired NONE of it. Why not air the (entire) interview? https://t.co/c4GZcqTbs7

This isn’t the first time CNN lied about Republicans avoiding interviews.
Last August, CNN reporter Jim Acosta accused President Trump of ignoring questions as he boarded Marine One, when really the helicopter’s engines made it impossible to hear any questions.
“Why won’t you talk to the press!” Acosta yelled as the deafening sound drowned him out.

The intellectual dishonesty on display by CNN is typical of the network, which explains why their ratings collapsed by 30% since this time last year.
