Former White House aide Hope Hicks told the House Intelligence Committee her email accounts were hacked, according to White House sources.
During her testimony in FBI Special Counsel Mueller’s phony Russia probe, Hicks told Rep. Jim Himes (D-Conn.) that she “could no longer access two accounts,” reported NBC on Wednesday.
“One she used as a member of President Donald Trump’s campaign team and the other a personal account, according to four people who spoke on the condition of anonymity because the closed meeting of the Intelligence Committee was supposed to remain private.”
Apparently, the lawmakers interviewing her had not been asking her about the subject, indicating Hicks felt compelled to let that information be known.
Hicks had resigned as a key advisor to President Trump on Monday, and had reportedly been considering leaving her position for months for personal reasons.
