Fox News correspondent Geraldo Rivera joined the Sept. 30, 2013 broadcast of the Alex Jones Show to discuss a host of issues, including the failed War on Drugs.
Discussion on the drug war begins at the 6:40 mark.
“I’ve been covering the drug war under Nixon since 1970,” Geraldo said. “We’ve spent well over a trillion dollars.”
“The drug war is an absolute failure.”
“An absolute, abject failure,” he emphasized.
Geraldo continued, stating that there’s women sentenced for 20 years in prison because they got set up carrying merely an ounce of cocaine for their boyfriends.
“I think it’s preposterous and I’m very much a libertarian when it comes to that,” he said. “People have to sort that stuff out for themselves.”
“It is just absolutely dreadful.”
