The ongoing food stamp outage could trigger nationwide riots across the country similar to the recent unrest in Baltimore and Ferguson.

Thousands – if not millions – of food stamp recipients have not gotten their benefits nine days into the month due to “glitches” in the electronic benefit transfer (EBT) system, and Americans are worried that if the outage continues, mass civil unrest will erupt.

“Yes, the s**t is starting to hit the fan; get ready for riots when people without jobs start getting hungry,” Colo. resident Jeri Brace warned on Downdetector.com, the web site reporting the mass EBT outages.

Fear of riots is a common theme on the site’s comment section.

“The board is set for unbelievable rioting, looting and worse – and all that’s needed is a little spark,” Rob P. pointed out. “What better spark than one day, no one’s EBT cards work.”

It’s even been speculated the EBT system was intentionally shut down to fuel rioting and disrupt the presidential campaign as Donald Trump continues to sap away influence from the global technocrats meeting in Dresden, Germany, this week.

But one thing is for certain, however: by encouraging mass dependency on the welfare system, the Obama administration has ensured nationwide rioting due to a large-scale collapse of the food stamp program which can then be exploited to expand the federal government.

As we reported in 2013, the administration had a goal to dramatically increase food stamp enrollment in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).

This corresponded with a strategy called pressure from above and below in which the government deliberately creates problems, then offer “solutions” that only expand government powers at the expense of individual rights.

The USDA in particular spent vast amounts of taxpayer money to encourage illegal immigrants to apply for food stamps through television and print ads.

The agency was even working with the Mexican government to “increase participation in SNAP,” the Daily Caller reported in 2012.

In other words, by enrolling more people into welfare than the EBT system can handle, outages will result, people will riot, and the government can then use the crisis to expand federal control over local police, something we’ve also been reporting on.

Last year the Obama administration released a plan to federalize state and local law enforcement entitled Task Force on 21st Century Policing which would force departments to adhere to stricter, federal-designed requirements when they receive federal funding.

Mass rioting would give the administration the opportunity they need to enact that plan.

Overall an estimated 46.5 million Americans, or 14.5% of the U.S. population, are on welfare.
