Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson should lead the way in relinquishing the guns used to protect him, the founder of DrudgeReport.com said Tuesday.

The secretary told “CBS This Morning” earlier this week that the shooting in an Orlando nightclub meant the Second Amendment had become a Homeland Security issue.

“We have to face the fact that meaningful gun control has to be a part of homeland security,” Johnson said. “We need to do something to minimize the opportunity for terrorists to get a gun in this country.”

“Homeland Jeh says Give up Your Guns! You go first, Brah,” Drudge tweeted in response.

The proprietor of the wildly popular link aggregator last October also challenged President Obama to give up his Secret Service security detail during a special, impromptu appearance on The Alex Jones Show.

“They’re all armed themselves, or they all have that security around them themselves. They don’t have to worry about [danger.] I challenge Hillary, take away your Secret Service. Take it away now. Take away your Secret Service; dismiss them. Have no security around you; have no guns around you, Hillary. I dare you. I dare you,” said Drudge.

In his defense of Americans’ right to bear arms, Matt Drudge is in good company.

Last October, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump also called on Democrat opponent Hillary Clinton to give up her bodyguards’ guns in light of her anti-Second Amendment stance.
