President-elect and business mogul Donald Trump has been chosen as Time Magazine’s “Person of the Year,” the publication announced Wednesday.

“Now it’s difficult to count all the ways Trump remade the game: the huckster came off more real than the scripted political pros,” Time writes. “The cable-news addict made pollsters look like chumps. The fabulist out-shouted journalists fighting to separate fact from falsehood. The demagogue won more Latino and black votes than the 2012 Republican nominee.”
While calling it a “tremendous honor,” Trump took issue with Time’s cover line, “Donald Trump: President of the Divided States of America,” telling NBC’s Today Show he wasn’t responsible for the rampant division.
“I didn’t divide ’em,” Trump said, adding, “We’re going to put it back together and we’re going to have a country that’s very well-healed.”
Trump beat out Democrat presidential contender Hillary Clinton, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, UKIP’s Nigel Farage and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Earlier this year, Trump was happy to make the cover of the publication, and encouraged his Twitter followers to pick up the magazine and look at it again in four years.
Remember, get TIME magazine! I am on the cover. Take it out in 4 years and read it again! Just watch…
