Ousted former Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe is set to publish a new book about his time at the FBI and his thoughts on President Trump, his publishers announced.
McCabe’s book, The Threat: How the FBI Protects America in the Age of Terror and Trump, is slated for release on December 4th.
“I wrote this book because the president’s attacks on me symbolize his destructive effect on the country as a whole,” McCabe said in a statement Tuesday.
“He is undermining America’s safety and security, and eroding public confidence in its institutions. His attacks on the most crucial institutions of government, and on the professionals who serve within them, should make every American stand up and take notice.”
McCabe was fired by Attorney General Jeff Sessions last spring at the recommendation of the FBI’s Office of Professional Responsibility, who concluded McCabe leaked to the media and “lacked candor” under oath regarding the Russia investigation and Hillary Clinton email probe.
Andrew McCabe FIRED, a great day for the hard working men and women of the FBI – A great day for Democracy. Sanctimonious James Comey was his boss and made McCabe look like a choirboy. He knew all about the lies and corruption going on at the highest levels of the FBI!

McCabe’s book deal is reminiscent of former FBI Director James Comey’s, who landed his own anti-Trump book deal for A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies, and Leadership, after Trump fired him last year.
Mr. President, the American people will hear my story very soon. And they can judge for themselves who is honorable and who is not.

Trump moved to declassify documents related to the Russia investigation on Monday, including un-redacted FISA application documents on Trump campaign associate Carter Page, as well as the full text message threads of the FBI leadership involved: Comey and McCabe, DoJ official Bruce Ohr, special agent Peter Strzok and his lover, FBI lawyer Lisa Page.
Days before, the DOJ uncovered more Strzok/Page texts detailing a “media leak strategy” to frame the Russia investigation narrative against Trump despite having no incriminating evidence against him.
“New Strzok-Page texts reveal ‘Media Leak Strategy.’ So terrible, and NOTHING is being done at DOJ or FBI – but the world is watching, and they get it completely,” Trump tweeted last week.
