The death toll rose to 48 people on Tuesday as the most devastating fire in California’s history raged on.
The Camp Fire in Butte County destroyed more than 130,000 acres since last week, burning thousands of homes in the town of Paradise.
The remains of six more victims were found on Tuesday, Butte County Sheriff Kory Honea said.
