Former Czech president Vaclav Klaus said in his new book that the migrant crisis is comparable to the barbarian invasion of the ancient world which caused large-scale regression in the development of Europe, an event it recovered from only after several centuries.
Klaus, who was president of the Czech Republic from 2003 to 2013, writes that “Europe has been weakened by a ‘leftist utopia’ which promotes the idea of mass migration and tries to turn Europeans into dependent clients”.
In his book Europe All Inclusive, Klaus predicts that the migrant crisis is far from over. He says that the crisis is a “severely underestimated phenomenon”.
