On July 30, Campbell Brown went after Texas Rep. Louie Gohmert for appearing on the Alex Jones Show. In a segment dubbed “Wingnut Watch,” Brown and her guest attacked Gohmert for his opposition to Obama’s plan to ration healthcare. Gohmert is a mental case, according to CNN, because he also would have presidential candidates demonstrate they are American citizens, as required by the Constitution.

Gohmert hit the “trifecta” when he appeared on the show of “9/11 truther” Alex Jones, according to Brown’s smirking guest.

Meanwhile, over at the Daily Beast, a website run by the former editor of Vanity Fair and The New Yorker and owned by IAC/InterActiveCorp (famous for consistently losing large sums of money) and Barry Diller (the man dedicated to eradicating free content on the web), the liberal scribe Michelle Goldberg writes Jones off as a John Bircher. Goldberg’s article is primarily about Judge Andrew Napolitano and Alex Jones is used to criticize Napolitano for the company he keeps:

On March 18, for example, Freedom Watch did a joint broadcast with the prolific conspiracy theorist Alex Jones—or, as Napolitano introduced him, “the one, the only, the great Alex Jones”—so that the show aired simultaneously on the Fox News Web site and on Jones’ radio program. It was an extraordinary collaboration, because Jones is best known as a leader of the 9/11 Truth movement. In his documentary 9/11: The Road to Tyranny, Jones argued that the attacks on the World Trade Center were orchestrated by the U.S. government as a pretext for the “power-mad megalomaniacs” of the New World Order to “usher in their corrupt world government, a world government where populations, their own documents show, will be herded into compact cities, will be issued national ID cards, and yes, even implantable microchips.”

Ms. Goldberg may not know it, but Freedom Watch is not a mainstream venue — it is an internet show and does not appear on Fox’s television network.

Goldberg is associated with The American Prospect, where she writes a column. Like the Daily Beast, The American Prospect excels at losing money and depends on grants to stay afloat. It takes money from the Schumann Center for Media and Democracy, a foundation created by the former president of General Motors Acceptance Corporation and an IBM trust fund baby. Schumann also funds the Tides Center, a “progressive” organization connected to the globalist George Soros.

Alex Jones is making the corporate media and the liberal foundation globalists nervous. In the past, they ignored him. Now they are increasingly shrill and desperate to portray him as a kook.
