In three separate weekend incidents, U.S. Border Patrol agents found $1,235,000 worth of marijuana — or more than 1,500 pounds, and arrested one man.

Agents with the Eagle Pass South Station on Sunday made two seizures, netting more than 650 pounds of drugs, according to a news release. In one case, agents working inside a ranch followed fresh footprints for about a mile from the Rio Grande River to an area where six green duffel bags containing marijuana had been stashed. Officers also followed footprints away from the river in a second case, which led agents to three duffel bags stuffed with pot.

Although Sunday’s busts didn’t lead to any arrests, a third one on Friday did. A 30-year-old man from Carrizo Springs was detained after officers patrolling a local ranch investigating a complaint of suspicious activity pulled over a truck leaving the ranch. Inside of white feed sacks in the back seat was a total of 880 pounds of marijuana, the news release states, with a street value of more than $700,000.
