Tony Blair has warned that the threat posed by Islamist fanatics has spread ‘right across the world’ since the 7/7 attacks ten years ago and urged Western leaders to combat it ‘on the ground’.
The former Prime Minister issued a stark warning that the threat posed by ISIS had now reached ‘the edges of Europe’.
Mr Blair said the threat was ‘not going away and will intensify in time to come’ unless the West stood up and showed it was prepared to fight.
He said political leaders to show Britain and other Western powers had ‘the means of combating these people and combating them on the ground’.
