Osama bin Laden believed coordinated shoe-bomb attacks on US-bound flights would “ruin the aviation industry” and shatter America’s economy, according to dramatic testimony in Brooklyn today.

Imprisoned British terrorist Saajid Muhammad Badat, 33, testifying via a prerecorded videotape against accused Queens plotter Adis Medunjanin, 28, described a private, one-on-one audience with bin Laden in Afghanistan in fall of 2001, just after the 9/11 attacks.

Badat and convicted Detroit shoe bomber Richard Reid were supposed to bring down planes on the same day, but the witness backed out at the last moment.
