Black Lives Matter advocates and distraught Bernie Sanders supporters clashed with police Tuesday evening outside the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia.

Police vehicles in the street were quickly overtaken and forced to back up after thousands of protesters descended on their blockade.

Some protesters carried burnt US flags while others chanted “Black Lives Matter” and “the whole world is watching.”

Riot police were dispatched and stood at entrances to the convention in an attempt to keep out the crowd.

Green Party candidate Jill Stein, who joined the protest that evening, spoke with Infowars reporter Joe Biggs on several topics including the hacked DNC emails.

Protesters earlier had attempted to jump a fence in order to protest the convention from inside.

Police also resorted to using pepper spray in an attempt to push protesters back from the area.
