Former San Diego Mayor Bob Filner Charged With Felony False Imprisonment, Battery

Former San Diego Mayor Bob Filner will face state charges this morning of false imprisonment and battery.

According to San Diego Superior Court, the former mayor faces a felony charge of false imprisonment by violence, fraud, menace and deceit and and two misdemeanor counts of battery. The charges involved three unnamed women victims.

The court says a hearing will be held at 10 a.m. in the presiding department in the downtown central court.
