Another high ranking Las Vegas Metro police official appears to be leaving the department and is set to join the new SLS Las Vegas casino.
A spokesperson with Metro confirmed Friday Assistant Sheriff Greg McCurdy is stepping down. According to the LVMPD website, McCurdy has led the department’s Homeland Security and Investigations and Support Group since 2011.
McCurdy appears to be headed for a position at SLS Las Vegas, which is the property that will take over the space once known as the Sahara hotel-casino.
