“I’ve got one tool and that tool is to beat people up and take them to jail.”

A Phoenix police officer who was fired after disturbing footage surfaced of him verbally and physically abusing citizens believes there was nothing wrong with his behavior and even made an appeal to get his job back.
Warning: Video contains graphic language.
Phoenix police officer Richard Greco was captured red-handed by his own audio and video recording devices referring to innocent civilians as “retarded,” and repeatedly addressing another arrestee as a “bitch.”
“I’m talking to you you piece of sh** now get the fu** over here,” the officer is heard telling another person who he appears to shove as well.
At one point in the collection of videos, Greco took on the role of relationship counselor, telling one couple that if they couldn’t resolve their issues his only recourse would be to resort to violence and take them to jail. “I’ve got one tool and that tool is to beat people up and take them to jail,” Greco states.
The Phoenix Police Department apparently did not want the aggressive foul-mouthed officer back on the force, and publicly released footage taken from Greco’s own department issued lapel-cam after he attempted to appeal the termination.
Even more troubling, the 10-year-officer defended his outrageous behavior to investigators saying that since no one complained, he didn’t think he was doing anything wrong.
“My own litmus test is if I don’t go home and lose sleep over it, it’s not the end of the world. Not a single one of these people complained about me so that seems to tell me that they didn’t think it was a problem either,” Greco told internal affairs investigators.
Needless to say, the officer’s appeal was denied.
Hopefully Greco’s case will serve as an example to other police officers of how not to treat the citizenry whom they are sworn to serve and protect, not disrespect.
