“Shambolic, unforgivable, disgraceful”

A Watford Borough Council cabinet member has described the security operation surrounding the secretive Bilderberg meeting, set to take place this weekend at The Grove hotel in Watford, England, as “disgraceful”.
Mark Watkin told the Watford Observer that he has received multiple complaints from local residents about the meeting, and the potentially large protests that are sure to begin this week.
“Shambolic, unforgivable, disgraceful are just some of the words I would use to describe the national security people’s and The Grove management’s failure to engage with the community who will suffer the consequences of this conference.” the councillor urged.
“The authorities and The Grove have refused to accept any responsibility for the consequences of this contentious event on the local community.” Watkin said.
“Whatever the rights and wrongs of this globally important meeting and the consequential protests, it is disgraceful that an event of global significance is landing on a community in Hertfordshire with no engagement with the council or community consultation being carried out.” the councillor added.
Watkin further noted that protestors and reporters covering the event are now relying on “last minute decisions being taken on the fly… such as where they should park, where they should camp.”
“Residents fear that these last minute decisions which will impact massively on their lives will set the precedent for any future events of this type or scale which The Grove is actively seeking to run.” Watkin also noted.
“When, in just over a weeks’ time, the circus has left town we will have to pick up the pieces, sort out the mess and make good any damage caused while The Grove of Chandlers Cross will just sit back and enjoys its global acclamation.” the councillor asserted.
As Infowars documented last week, the area around The Grove hotel will be subject to a substantial security lock down which will restrict both protesters and members of the press from exercising their free speech rights.
The lock down will include bag searches and metal detector wandings carried out by G4S private security for anyone entering the protest/press area. Local residents have also been told by police that they will have to present passports or other proof of identification simply to get to their own homes.
In addition, Watford Borough Council rejected a Temporary Events Notice to hold the Bilderberg Fringe Festival, at which Alex Jones and David Icke are set to speak, in a nearby park, meaning thousands of people will descend on the area with nowhere to go.
In rejecting the application, Watford councilors are creating a massive public safety issue. Protesters and media representatives will now be bottle-necked into small areas clustered around the entrance to the Grove Hotel. This could easily lead to injuries caused by overcrowding as well as the area’s immediate proximity to a busy main road.
As reported by several British newspapers in the past week, British taxpayers are being forced to foot the bill for Bilderberg security costs which run into the millions. Several British MP’s are also violating part four of the House of Commons Code of Conduct by refusing to declare their private interests in the context of Bilderberg.
