A 4th grade teacher at Hughey elementary school [El Paso, TX] has been reassigned following a controversial class project assigned on 9-11.
The teacher asked students to draw the terrorist attacks that took place on 9-11 and allegedly told the kids to draw the boom clouds, the planes hitting the towers, and people jumping out of windows. She also allegedly told students that Afghans hate Americans.
[…] Parents expressed concerns about the project that prompted an investigation. EPISD officials now tell us the teacher has been reassigned — but are not releasing her name or exactly where she has been reassigned.
