Talk show radio host and “conservative” commentator Mark Levin has promised to defeat Rand Paul in Kentucky if his father decides to run as a third party candidate.
Levin characterized Ron Paul as an “ego maniac” who “knows he can’t win” and said a third party run would siphon off enough votes to make sure Obama wins a second term.
“I will do everything within my power, as limited as it is, to fight them every damn step of the way and if Ron Paul decides that he is going to go third party, which is detrimental to this nation and pulls a million votes, which is relatively insignificant in the big scheme of things, I will do everything within my power to defat his son in Kentucky,” Levin promised.
Talkers magazine ranks Levin as the fourth most listened to talk radio host behind Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and Michael Savage. His show draws an estimated weekly cumulative audience of 8.5 million listeners.
On December 29, Savage said on his popular radio show that Ron Paul is a racist “lunatic” who supports terrorist groups and hates Israel.
In early December Levin said he would vote for either Rick Santorum or Michele Bachmann.
Mark Levin served in the cabinet of Reagan and was a chief of staff for Attorney General Edwin Meese. He is president of the Landmark Legal Foundation.
The foundation takes money from a number of establishment foundations, including the Scaife Foundation.
Billionaire Richard Mellon Scaife is principal heir to the Mellon banking, oil, and aluminum fortune and his Forum World Features, a foreign news service, was allegedly used as a front to disseminate CIA propaganda.
