On the heels of the International Atomic Energy Agency’s latest Iran report, a senior Iranian lawmaker says the IAEA has turned into a political tool for the US.
“The IAEA should act in accordance with technical and legal regulations but it has turned into a plaything for US statesmen,” said Chairman of the Majlis (parliament) National Security and Foreign Policy Committee Alaeddin Boroujerdi on Wednesday.
He added that the UN nuclear agency is a political tool used by the US to accomplish its own objectives, IRNA reported.
Boroujerdi said that the reason behind the stepped up US and Western campaign against Iran is the popular following the ‘Occupy Wall Street’ movement, trans-regional failures and the loss of important regional bases.
