Democrat talk radio host and Baptist minister Al Sharpton called for Rush Limbaugh and other radio talk show hosts to be dragged before the FCC to answer questions. Sharpton told the Ed Show last Thursday he supports McCarthy-like hearings. He wants the agency to squelch the First Amendment of political opponents:

Sharpton said he wants station owners and personalities — Limbaugh in particular — “to come in front of the FCC and answer direct questions on direct statements and how they may be offensive based on gender and race so that the FCC can then shape policy based on the results of those public hearings.”
“I wanted them to make an affirmative stand,” Sharpton said, “but if we’ve got to go into the public hearings to see if they can do that, I think that that would be a very, very good thing for the American public to see these people have to do this.”
Sharpton is part of an orchestrated government campaign to state manage all media, especially renegade media on the internet.
“The FCC also controls content on the radio and can yank the broadcast licenses of any radio stations that refuse to comply with its content censorship. This is why operators of ‘pirate radio stations’ are dealt with so harshly: For the government to allow any radio station to operate outside its censorship and control is to invite dissent,” writes Mike Adams.
