Actor John Cho, best known for his role as Sulu in the latest Star Trek remake, claimed US President Donald Trump was responsible for a United Airlines debacle in which a passenger was forcibly removed from an overbooked flight.

In a Monday tweet, the actor claimed there was a “connection” between the passenger being dragged off a plane, and the “environment Trump has created.”

“It’s hard not to see a connection between the environment Trump has created and what happened on that @united flight,” Cho stated.

Following his statement several people on Twitter mocked the “Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle” star.

On Sunday, a United Airlines passenger was filmed being forcibly removed from a flight after it was discovered the airline had overbooked.

In a statement from United Airlines CEO Oscar Munoz, he defended the removal of the passenger, David Dao, 69, labeling him “disruptive and belligerent.”

“Our agents were left with no choice but to call Chicago Aviation Security Officers to assist in removing the customer from the flight. He repeatedly declined to leave,” the statement said.
