Immigrant gangs have put fear into the hearts of the infidels in residential areas north east of Gävle recently.

The night before New Year’s Eve, a group of masked youths threw a powerful firecracker, known as a “banger” into a stroller where a three month old infant was sleeping, reports the regional newspaper Hela Hälsingland.

According to the police, the father of the baby managed at the last moment to get hold of firecracker and threw it away before it exploded.

– Otherwise it could have gone bad. It must have been a pretty nasty bang, said police spokesman Mikael Hedström (pictured) to Hela Hälsingland.

Large gangs of immigrant youths have ravaged across Sweden during the holidays, where they have thrown firecrackers and shot rockets at people, animals, buildings and police, which in Sweden is described as “careless manner.”

However, Mikael Hedström says that he has not seen anything like the chaos that unfolds in Gävle during his 30 years as a police officer.

– It’s like it is completely off the tracks, he says to Hela Hälsingland.
