On Tuesday night Trump tweeted he’d brokered a deal with the air conditioning company that may allow it to stay in Indiana, instead of moving its jobs to Mexico.
We are pleased to have reached a deal with President-elect Trump & VP-elect Pence to keep close to 1,000 jobs in Indy. More details soon.

“I would like to tell him thank you for going out of your way and taking your time away from your family, working on the Carrier and employees’ deal,” 24-year employee Robin Maynard told Fox & Friends. “Sticking to your word and going to bat for us all at Carrier and keeping our jobs here. I’d like to thank him and Mike Pence for doing it so quickly.”
“I didn’t expect an announcement probably for three or four weeks, and we’re what? Two days from the meeting with them, and they’ve already made their announcement?”
“I’m very excited and would like to thank both of them personally and shake their hands hopefully tomorrow,” Maynard stated.
Carrier made headlines earlier this year when video emerged of employees in Indianapolis reacting in shock to news that their jobs, nearly 1,400 positions, would be sent to Mexico.
