Update: BREAKING! TRUMP CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION STILL ON THE TABLE

Donald Trump’s senior aide Kellyann Conway has announced that Trump will not peruse criminal charges for Hillary Clinton regarding her email scandal, prompting alt right news sites, led by Breitbart, to criticise the President Elect.

Appearing on MSNBC’s Morning Joe, Conway said Trump feels Clinton has been “through enough.”

“I think when the President-elect, who’s also the head of your party, tells you before he’s even inaugurated that he doesn’t wish to pursue these charges, it sends a very strong message, tone, and content” to other Republicans.” Conway stated.

Conway also stated that Clinton is ‘rebuilding’ her image and that Trump’s decision will help her “heal.”

“I think Hillary Clinton still has to face the fact that a majority of Americans don’t find her to be honest or trustworthy, but if Donald Trump can help her heal, then perhaps that’s a good thing,” Conway said.

“Look, I think he’s thinking of many different things as he is preparing to become president of the United States, and things that sound like the campaign aren’t among them.” She added.

During his campaign Trump repeatedly stated that if he were president he would appoint a prosecutor to charge Hillary Clinton. He also eventually agreed with supporters who chanted ‘lock her up’ at rallies.

It appears that now Trump has won, however, he has had a change of heart. Last week, during a 60 Minutes interview, Trump referred to the Clintons as ‘good people’ and said he ‘doesn’t want to hurt them’.

The latest revelation has received unfavorable reaction from some of the alternative media websites that supported Trump’s campaign.

Breitbart News ran with the headline “Broken Promise: Trump ‘Doesn’t Wish to Pursue’ Clinton Email Charges.”

Meanwhile, according to a report in The New York Post, Trump met with heads of corporate media Monday, and pulled no punches.

“It was like a f—ing firing squad,” one source said of the meeting, which included senior officials from ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox News and CNN, as well as MSNBC.

“Trump started with [CNN President] Jeff Zucker and said, ‘I hate your network, everyone at CNN is a liar and you should be ashamed.’”

“The meeting was a total disaster. The TV execs and anchors went in there thinking they would be discussing the access they would get to the Trump administration, but instead they got a Trump-style dressing down.” the report notes.

“Trump kept saying, ‘We’re in a room full of liars, the deceitful dishonest media who got it all wrong,'” the report also notes.

“He addressed everyone in the room calling the media dishonest, deceitful liars. Trump didn’t say [NBC reporter] Katy Tur by name, but talked about a female correspondent who got it wrong.” another section of the article states.

“Then he referred to a horrible network correspondent who cried when [Democratic presidential nominee] Hillary [Clinton] lost [and] who hosted a debate — which was [ABC’s] Martha Raddatz, who was also in the room.” the report adds.
