Americans have called on presidential candidate Donald Trump to visit the nation of Haiti in the wake of Hurricane Matthew.
On Tuesday several Twitter users put out calls for the businessman to personally fly aid to the hurricane-ravaged region, which had also suffered a devastating earthquake in 2010.

The requests for Trump to visit Haiti come after radio host Alex Jones asked listeners to tweet at the GOP nominee to visit the afflicted victims of the impoverished nation.
Trump previously one-upped both President Obama and Democrat presidential candidate Hillary Clinton in August by handing out supplies in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where massive floods had left 13 people dead and thousands displaced.
The hotel mogul has made it a point throughout his political campaign to call attention to the Clinton Foundation’s misuse of donations meant to help Haitian victims of the 2010 earthquake.
“Clinton was responsible for doing things a lot of the Haitian people are not happy with,” Trump has stated. “Taxpayer dollars intended for Haiti and the earthquake victims went to a lot of the Clinton cronies.”
Last month, Trump also heard concerns from former Senate President of Haiti, Bernard Sansaricq, who claimed the Clinton foundation had almost totally squandered funds meant for victims.
“In 2010, the earthquake of Haiti, not only American taxpayers, but the whole world has given billions of dollars to the Clinton Foundation for the Haitians. Not even two percent of that money went back to Haiti. So Mr. Trump we are asking you, begging you – the Haitian community will side with you if one day you ask Hillary Clinton publicly to disclose the audit of all the money they have stolen from Haiti in 2010 after the earthquake.”
Trump has one campaign event in Arizona scheduled for Tuesday and two more in Nevada Wednesday.
