The anti-Trump establishment media is trying to spin Trump’s legitimate concern that Hillary will try to rig the election as an insane, baseless conspiracy theory.
Both the Washington Post and Gawker published hit pieces hours after Trump said in a speech and again later during an appearance on Sean Hannity’s show that Hillary will try to steal the election just as she stole the nomination from Bernie Sanders.
Clinton press secretary Brian Fallon also sent out a tweet declaring that Trump’s comments were ‘pathetic’ and that he is a “reflexive conspiracy theorist.”
However, both the DNC email leak and the entire primary process proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that the Democratic Party establishment has nothing but contempt for the democratic will of the people and won’t hesitate to rig the vote.
As the New York Daily News reported, The Democratic Party nomination is largely controlled by, “The desire of party bosses who don’t have to take into account the expressed desire of Democratic voters.”
When asked, superdelegates in New York State said they would still support Hillary Clinton even if Bernie Sanders had won the Empire State’s primary.
In other words – the votes of Bernie Sanders supporters counted for virtually nothing from the very beginning.
As the leaked DNC emails illustrated, the establishment pre-selected Hillary from the start and the primary process was a complete charade to give the illusion of democratic choice.
As the Observer’s Michael Sainato writes, “Instead of treating Sanders as a viable candidate for the Democratic ticket, the DNC worked against him and his campaign to ensure Clinton received the nomination.”
The elite chose Hillary before any of the primary votes came in, and vowed to select her regardless of the result.
How in any way is this not a rigged process, as Trump rightly pointed out?
The left-leaning NY Daily News even admitted it with the words, “Maybe the system really is rigged.”
The attempt by the establishment media to characterize Trump’s warning that Hillary plans to steal the election as some nebulous conspiracy theory that he has plucked out of thin air is an insult to objective reality.
Hillary and the Democratic Party establishment stole the nomination from Sanders. The fix was in from the very beginning.
Trump’s warning that Hillary will pull out all stops to do the same in the general election is not a conspiracy theory, it’s a pinpoint assessment of the most likely scenario.
