Bernie Sanders is expected to twist the knife he stuck in the back his loyal supporters. He will formally endorse Clinton later tonight after a DNC roll call.

Fear of Donald Trump—drummed up to historically hysterical levels by the Democrats after Trump was nominated in Cleveland—will serve as the catalyst.

From CNN:

Representatives for Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton are in discussions for the Vermont senator to formally nominate Clinton onto the Democratic Party ticket in an effort to showcase party unity after the convention roll call vote Tuesday, a senior Democratic Party source told CNN.

The news comes the morning after Sanders spoke at the convention, and his supporters repeatedly interrupted speeches Tuesday night, as well as delegate breakfasts the following morning, not satisfied by the party official message to unify behind Clinton.

Sanders was booed during a California delegation breakfast Tuesday, one of several he visited.

“It is easy to boo, but it is harder to look your kids in the face if we are living under a Trump presidency,” Sanders responded.
