Republicans refusing to come to this week’s GOP convention in Cleveland received a dose of shaming his morning from the allies of presumptive nominee Donald Trump.
First Trump’s campaign chairman Paul Manafort tsk-tsked Ohio Gov. John Kasich for refusing to enter the convention hall even though the confab is taking place in his home state.
While former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, overlooked for the veep slot on the GOP ticket, remained loyal to Trump by criticizing the entire Bush family for being no-shows.
Manafort appeared on Morning Joe where host Mika Brzezinski suggested that the lineup for the convention was less-than-impressive.
‘My very critical kind of takeaway this morning is that they couldn’t get anybody to speak,’ Brzezinski said.
Manafort refuted that claim, trying to label the many senators who aren’t coming, along with the party’s past nominees and ex-presidents as has-beens.
