Anti-war activists united in Times Square for a Saturday demonstration to mark the seventh anniversary of the start of the Iraq War.
Members of the national anti-war groups Code Pink and Grandmothers Against the War were among those demanding troops be brought home from Iraq and Afghanistan.
“We think it’s about time we support our troops by bringing them home ad infinitum.”
“The military cannot be used as a tool of foreign policy. And it’s used in that way too much.”
Protests were also held throughout the country.
