On Thursday Ted Cruz told rival Donald Trump not to bring his wife into the spat between the two candidates.

“Donald, you’re a sniveling coward and leave Heidi the hell alone,” Cruz said during a campaign stop in Dane, Wisconsin.

The exchange of accusations and insults began after an anti-Trump super PAC, Make American Awesome, ran a Facebook ad targeted at Mormons in Utah during the primary. The ad features a photo of a partially naked Melania Trump taken from an issue of GQ magazine.

The Cruz campaign has denied any connection to the ad.

Donald Trump responded by saying he believes Ted Cruz is involved in the release of the photo.
