During a campaign rally in Richmond, Virginia Wednesday night, GOP frontrunner Donald Trump slammed Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders, calling him a “maniac” and a “Communist”.
“I watched Hillary last night with, ‘We’re gonna give this. We’re gonna give this.’ The poor woman she’s got to give everything away because this maniac that was standing on her right is giving everything away so she’s following.” Trump stated, referring to Sanders and his policies on healthcare, education and benefits for immigrants.
“That’s what’s happening.” Trump added to rapturous applause, “This Socialist slash Communist. OK. Nobody wants to say it.”
Republican candidates, including Trump noted how Tuesday’s Democratic debate appeared to be a race between the candidates to see how much free stuff they could offer out.
“…if you watched that debate last night it looked like something from the early ’80s. It was basically a liberal vs. liberal debate about who was going to give away the most free stuff.” noted Marco Rubio.
“Their answer to every problem in America is a government program and a tax increase. That’s all they prescribe time and time again.” Rubio urged, while Rand Paul warned an audience in Iowa about “the notion of a politician who wants to give you free stuff,” noting that “Nothing is free, though. Somebody else has to pay for it.”
Trump’s Richmond rally, which was attended by some five thousand supporters, was momentarily disrupted by radical Black Lives Matter protesters, who heckled the billionaire as he was talking about immigration.

While Trump maintained that the protesters had a First Amendment right, some of his supporters engaged in physical altercations with the disrupters, who were eventually dragged out of the building.

Trump predicted that the ‘dishonest” media would run stories about the hecklers, rather than focusing on the thousands who turned out in support.
